Ingredients

  • 1 cup reduced-sodium ketchup
  • 3/4 cup minced onion
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 cup cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons dark brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons molasses
  • 1 tablespoon low-sodium Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 teaspoons dry mustard
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder

Preparation

  1. Combine all ingredients in a small saucepan, and bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Reduce heat, and simmer, uncovered, 20 minutes, stirring frequently. Use to baste while cooking and/or to serve with chicken, pork, or beef.
