Keep extras of these sweet-and-spicy snacks on hand. They go fast!

  • 1/4 cup margarine
  • 4 cups pecans
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon ground cloves
  • 1 tablespoon nutmeg

How to Make It

  1. Melt margarine and add pecans. Cook and stir 20 minutes. Drain on paper towels. Mix remaining ingredients in plastic container. Add warm pecans and shake to coat. Spread on a baking sheet to cool completely. Store in an airtight container.

Packaging instructions: Decorated Bucket: Cover a metal sap bucket with self-adhesive felt. Trim the top and bottom edges even with the bucket. Use decorative-edge craft scissors to cut a vintage Christmasy motif from a postcard or greeting card. Glue the motif to a piece of felt; use craft scissors to trim the felt 1/4" larger on all sides than the motif. Glue the motif to the front of the bucket. Place your gift in cellophane and tie it closed with ribbon. Tie on a tag embellished with decorative paper and a Christmas charm. Place gift in bucket.
