  • 1 pound Golden Delicious apples, cored, peeled, and cut into 1/4-inch-thick slices
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon apple pie spice

How to Make It

Cook's Notes

If you don't have apple pie spice, make your own. One-half teaspoon of apple pie spice is equal to 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon, 1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg, and a dash of ground cardamom.
