Ingredients

1 tablespoon reduced-calorie margarine
1 pound Golden Delicious apples, cored, peeled, and cut into 1/4-inch-thick slices
2 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons water
1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon apple pie spice

Preparation

Melt margarine in a large skillet over medium heat; add apple. Sprinkle sugar and remaining ingredients over apple. Cook over medium heat 7 minutes or until apple is tender, stirring occasionally. Serve warm.

Note:

If you don't have apple pie spice, make your own. One-half teaspoon of apple pie spice is equal to 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon, 1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg, and a dash of ground cardamom.
