Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 (12-ounce) flank steak, trimmed
  • Cooking spray

Preparation

  1. Preheat broiler.
  2. Combine first 7 ingredients (brown sugar through pepper) in a small bowl; rub evenly over steak.
  3. Place steak on a broiler pan coated with cooking spray; broil 6 minutes on each side or until desired degree of doneness.
  4. Let stand 3 minutes; cut steak diagonally across grain into thin slices.
