Ingredients

1 tablespoon brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 (12-ounce) flank steak, trimmed
Cooking spray

Preparation

Preheat broiler.

Combine first 7 ingredients (brown sugar through pepper) in a small bowl; rub evenly over steak.

Place steak on a broiler pan coated with cooking spray; broil 6 minutes on each side or until desired degree of doneness.

Let stand 3 minutes; cut steak diagonally across grain into thin slices.
