This festive Champagne sparkler gets a lift from moonshine and limoncello. You can purchase any number of fine bottles of handcrafted moonshine at your local package store.
1 sugar cube
Dash of lemon bitters
2 1/2 tablespoons moonshine
2 tablespoons Italian lemon liqueur
1/3 cup Champagne or dry sparkling wine
How to Make It
Place sugar cube in a Champagne flute. Sprinkle sugar cube with lemon bitters.
Combine moonshine and liqueur in a cocktail shaker; add ice cubes. Cover with lid, and shake vigorously until thoroughly chilled (about 30 seconds). Strain into Champagne flute, and top with Champagne.
