  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons chopped green pepper
  • 1/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons bacon drippings
  • 1 (14 1/2-ounce) can whole tomatoes, drained and chopped
  • 1 (14 1/2-ounce) can hominy, drained
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper

How to Make It

  1. Sauté onion and green pepper in bacon drippings in a large skillet until tender. Add tomatoes; cook over medium heat 15 minutes. Add remaining ingredients; cook an additional 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
