Maybe it is because I didn't know how much sausage I had so I just guesstimated on the amounts, but I thought this needed a richer tomato flavor so I added some spaghetti sauce from a jar. I also kicked up the flavor to make it spicier.

We really enjoyed this. After reading other reviews, I used 2 x 19oz cans of tomatoes to create a little more sauce. Also used spicy italian sausage for a bit extra heat. I'll definitely make this again.

My family loved this and it was a nice change and very easy to put together. After reading the other comments about the sauce or lack of, I added about a tablespoon of Italian dressing mix and olive oil. I just used plain diced tomatoes so I needed the extra flavor anyway.

I threw this together using what I found in the freezer tonight-- what a pleasant surprise! I don't know if I'd serve it for a special occasion, but it was very good, considering the ease of preparation. My husband said he preferred it to traditional spaghetti with red sauce-- lighter and fresher tasting. Served it with a mixed green salad-- very satisfying and very EASY!

3 of the 5 people in the family liked it. I felt it didn't make enough of a sauce. I'm sure you could interchange the sausage with chicken, too. I used the George Foreman to cook the sausage.

DELICIOSO! Modified: 13 oz WW spaghetti, 28 oz crushed tomatoes,1/2 c. red wine, fresh basil,1 tsp oregano. My changes made for a heartier, thicker, sauce + almost doubled the recipe. Family friendly keeper!

I made this when I was pregnant to freeze and reheat once the baby was here. It turned out great and I make it often now. Easy to make and reheat. I recommend using petite cut diced tomatoes.

This is a good recipe that can handle variation. I had 1.25 pounds of sausage, only one pepper, and two different kinds of diced tomatoes but it still turned out great.

This is a good recipe & easy to make. We raise our own vegetables & each summer I make lots of pasta sauce using all those wonderful tomatos, etc. I freeze the sauce & enjoy it all year long, adding to the sauce is simple & useful for many different dishes.

This now my favorite spaghetti recipe. So much lighter than the traditional pasta sauce.

OMG this is delicious to say the least. The ease in making this wonderful dish is helpful for putting it on the table for the hungry. It is now my favorite spaghetti recipe!! The pepper taste was fantastic and I followed exactly.

I just made this dish today and it was absolutely delicious. Everyone including my picky son loved it. I did tweak a few things though. I only used green pepper but I added mushrooms. I only had one can of diced tomatoes so I used another can of tomato sauce which actually helped the dish because people who made this dish previously complained that it was not saucy enough. I used hot turkey italian sausage instead because I don;t eat pork. I also seasoned the sauce with an all purpose seasoning instead of plain salt. This was one of the best pasta dishes I made this year. I will definitly make it agian in the near future.

This is super easy and fast and makes a lot. This was not meant to be a "sauce" type pasta dish, which would over power the flavors of the peppers and sausage.

I just made this tonight. I see people added tomato sauce. DON'T DO IT! Try the recipe just as it's written - it's delicious! The only change I made is I substituted spicy turkey sausage for pork sausage. This is a KEEPER!

I made half this recipe for 2 of us and it is very good and would serve 4, easy and quick. I added 1/8 teaspoon red pepper flakes and used link sausages that I cooked and sliced into 1-inch pieces. Great weeknight dinner.

Prepares quicky. Spaghetti picks up the flavor of the sausage & tomatoes. Big hit in our family.
