Ingredients
- 8 ounces uncooked spaghetti
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 2 carrots, chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, chopped
- 3/4 pound ground sirloin
- 3/4 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 1 (28-ounce) can crushed tomatoes, undrained
- 1/2 cup fresh chopped flat-leaf parsley
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Preparation
- 1. Cook pasta according to package directions. Meanwhile, heat the oil in a large saucepan over medium heat. Add the onion, carrots, and garlic; cook, stirring occasionally, for 8-10 minutes or until soft.

Add tomatoes, and simmer, stirring occasionally, for about 5 minutes or until the sauce thickens. Stir in the parsley.
