Loved this dish! I did make a few changes though by substituting basil for parsley and adding 1/2 cup sauteed onions and 1 tsp. red pepper flakes and lots of cracked pepper. After combining all ingredients, I let the mixture cook a couple minutes at a low temp to cook the egg and heat through. Served with a salad. My husband and I will make this again.

I am 13 and I make this recipe as a special treat to my parents. It is so delicious and amazingly easy to make. Ham is also very good if bacon is no where to be found.

The whole family enjoyed this recipe; my husband and 5-year-old said they'd definitely want to eat it again. I used whole-wheat spaghetti, bacon instead of pancetta (cooked it first, then added it to the garlic and wine mixture), and basil instead of parsley (I recommend adding it at the last minute, because mine turned brown when it got heated up along with the eggs). I had hot pepper flakes at the table for sprinkling, and served it with a salad.

Easy to make and delicious. This is sure to become a family favorite. I didn't have fresh basil so used the Dort frozen basil you get at Trader Joe's. It added flavor and color to the dish

Yummy Yummy Yum!!! I have been looking for a good, yet simple enough for a weeknight pasta dish other than plain ol' spaghetti with meat sauce and this definately is it! I used basil instead of parsley and added red pepper flakes. I also used fresh garlic (I usually use pre-chopped) and pancetta instead of bacon since I had to go to the grocery store today. Pancetta definately makes a difference! Don't skip it if you can help it! Definitely goes down as one of my favorite pasta recipes!

Loved it - will make again. I used whole wheat spaghetti, bacon, extra clove of garlic, a few sprinkles of red pepper flakes, and mixed basil and parsley. Right at the end I added a few dashes of nutritional yeast instead of the extra parm (I had run out). Excellent! The recipe definitely makes enough for four good sized servings or six moderate servings.

This was a great weeknight recipe! It came together quickly and easily and the whole family enjoyed it. The leftovers were good, too...

Easy and AMAZING. I added red pepper flakes but that was my only change, I enjoy a little heat in my food. I honestly couldn't believe how good it was, spot on to how it tastes at my fave restaurant! I did have a single serving of leftovers left and this isn't a pasta you can save and reheat.

this was very good, but next time i will save some of my Pasta WATER to add to the dish - I like my pasta carbonara a little liquidy.

This was a quick, easy recipe for carbonara. I omitted the bacon, because I used flavored pasta, and it was wonderful. I've made this recipe with bacon before and loved it that way too. It's a perfect base for whatever you have in the fridge.

This is an amazing recipe! I set a bowl aside to cool for my two year old and when I turned back around he was stuffing it into his mouth with his bare hands, lol. We never have leftovers and my hubby requests it at least once a week.

I added the red pepper flakes and basil and it was delicious. My only complaint is it took me longer then I expected.

Excellent....used garden fresh basil and peas and bacon, and thin noodles. Salad side and fresh bread.

This is my go to dinner when I have company. I admit that I use double the pancetta though, and I ALWAYS use the basil option with the red chile flakes. This is one of my favorite dinners for just myself too--plus it's really cheap to make.
