Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups Hearty Meat Sauce
- 1 cup drained canned low-sodium pinto beans
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon seeded, chopped jalapeno pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
- Dash of salt
- 1 tablespoon shredded reduced-fat Monterey Jack cheese
- 1 tablespoon chopped green onions
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh cilantro
Preparation
- Combine first 7 ingredients in a medium saucepan. Bring to a boil; cover, reduce heat, and simmer 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. To serve, ladle chili into 2 bowls; sprinkle evenly with cheese, green onions, and cilantro.
