- 1 cup butter or margarine, softened
- 2 cups sugar
- 3 eggs
- 1/2 cup commercial sour cream
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
How to Make It
Cream butter in a large mixing bowl; gradually add sugar, beating well. Add eggs, beating well. Add sour cream and soda; beat well. Stir in flour. Cover and chill overnight.
Roll half of dough to 1/4-inch thickness on a floured surface; keep remaining dough chilled. Cut with floured 2-inch cutters into desired shapes.
Place 2 inches apart on lightly greased cookie sheets; bake at 450° for 5 minutes or until lightly browned. Remove from cookie sheets, and cool on wire racks.
