Ingredients

  • 1 package(s) Yeast
  • 1 1/2 cup(s) Warm Water
  • 1 teaspoon(s) Salt
  • 1 tablespoon(s) Sugar
  • 4 cup(s) Sugar
  • 1 Egg

Preparation

  1. Measure warm water into large mixing bowl. Sprinkle in yeast and stir unit it looks soft. Add salt, sugar, and flour. Mix and knead dough 1-2 minutes. Take small balls of dough to roll, and twist into pretzels, letters, numerals, etc. Grease cookie sheets lightly. Lay twisted pretzels on greased cookie sheets. Brush pretzels with beaten egg and sprinkle with coarse salt. Optional: Cinnamon Sugar, garlic, Parmesan cheese, etc. Bake at 425 degrees fro 12-15 minutes.
