Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup chopped Oso Sweet or other sweet onion
  • 1/2 cup diced red bell pepper
  • 1 (16-ounce) package cabbage-and-carrot coleslaw
  • 1 slice bacon, cooked and crumbled (drained)
  • 1/2 cup seasoned rice wine vinegar
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon canola oil
  • 2 1/2 teaspoons dry mustard
  • 1 teaspoon celery seeds

Preparation

  1. Combine onion, bell pepper, slaw, and bacon in a large bowl.
  2. Combine vinegar and the remaining ingredients in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil; cook 1 minute, stirring frequently. Pour over cabbage mixture; toss gently. Serve immediately.
