Very good and plentiful. I put in more veggies than was called for, but that's just because I'm trying to get more veggies in my diet, and more black pepper. It was great for reheating, too.

The food was very delicious. I added extra milk and butter to the mashed potatoes because with the amount the recipe called for the consistency just didn't look quite right to me. I also threw a little extra meat and veggies in there and it turned out wonderfully.

I didn't care for this recipe. The potatoes were very runny and the flavor was bland. I won't be making it again.

Totally blah! needs some stronger spices. I made it exactly like recipe. Most shepherds pies I have seen have a solid meat base. This one is like taco meat. I definitely would never make again.

This recipe needs some spices! It was pretty tasteless in the end but the consistancy was good--and if you didn't mind adding a ton of pepper and some more salt it was a fine dinner. I would not make this for a party or for guests. If I make it again though I will probably get some fresh herbs and really load them on.

Wow! Cook potatoes, mash potatoes, cook veggies AND ground beef....This is not a slow cooker recipe that I would want. What happend to "layer items in slow cooker & forget?" Too many steps & dirty dishes...lol MOST of ur recipes i LOVE!

I love this recipe- of course like many I tweak it based on tastes. I like more Worcestershire sauce and more potatoes and veggies. Traditionally I used the golden potatoes but it's a lot more work. Think this time will use instant (despite the delicious sweet taste you get from the golden potatoes). I happened to have some leftover ground beef to use for this recipe- so it's perfect. My husband and I love this recipe....in fact he demanded it be put in the rotation of recipes. We just don't usually have the ground beef around for it :) YUM!

If you follow the directions then yes you will get a bland dinner but I always use ground turkey and add my own spices to give a nice flavor. I also make more mashed potatoes because my family loves them. I think this is a great week day family dinner.
