Love that it had so few ingredients. Different flavor from other slow cooked pot roast, but good. Think the Italian dressing added a different flavor too - but good. I ended up serving it to guest at the last minute- adults and kids. It was well received

- 1 (3- to 4-lb.) chuck roast, trimmed
- 1 tablespoon canola oil
- 1 (12-oz.) can beer
- 1 (0.7-oz.) envelope Italian dressing mix
- Brown roast in hot oil in a skillet over medium-high heat 3 to 5 minutes on each side; transfer to a 6-qt. slow cooker. Whisk together beer and dressing mix; pour over roast. Cover; cook on LOW 8 to 10 hours or until tender. Remove roast from slow cooker. Skim fat from sauce; serve with roast.
