Four-Ingredient Slow-Cooker Pot Roast is the perfect dinner solution for your busy schedule. Just toss in the 4 ingredients and let your slow cooker do all the work.


  • 1 (3- to 4-lb.) chuck roast, trimmed
  • 1 tablespoon canola oil
  • 1 (12-oz.) can beer
  • 1 (0.7-oz.) envelope Italian dressing mix

How to Make It

  1. Brown roast in hot oil in a skillet over medium-high heat 3 to 5 minutes on each side; transfer to a 6-qt. slow cooker. Whisk together beer and dressing mix; pour over roast. Cover; cook on LOW 8 to 10 hours or until tender. Remove roast from slow cooker. Skim fat from sauce; serve with roast.
