Nothing says comfort like the aroma of these apples cooking…unless, of course, it’s sitting down to enjoy them.
6 apples, cored
3/4 cup orange juice
1/2 cup apple cider
1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
Optional: frozen whipped topping, thawed
How to Make It
Peel a strip around the top of each apple to help prevent cracking. Arrange apples in a slow cooker. In a large bowl, combine remaining ingredients except whipped topping; mix to blend. Spoon over apples. Cover and cook on low setting for 3 to 4 hours or until apples are tender. Cool slightly and serve warm with whipped topping, if desired.
