Ingredients
- 1/2 c butter
- 1/2 c chopped onion
- 1/2 c chopped bell pepper
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- 1/4 tsp dry mustard
- 1/8 tsp oregano
- 7 oz macaroni
- 2 c water
- 1 tbsp flour
- 1 can evaporated milk
- 2 tbsp chopped pimento
- 2 c shredded cheddar
Preparation
- Saute onion and pepper in butter til tender. Add salt, pepper, mustard, and oregano. Add pasta and water and bring to boil. Cover and reduce heat to simmer for 10 to 20 min until tender. Sprinkle flour over pasta and blend well. Add evaporated milk and simmer 5 min. Off heat, add pimento and cheese and stir well.
