Sirloin Steak with Garlic Sauce
If you want to roast extra garlic cloves, add some more to the pan and freeze them for later use.

Ingredients
- 1 pound boneless top sirloin steak (1 inch thick)
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- Cooking spray
- 8 large garlic cloves, unpeeled
- 1/3 cup low-salt beef broth
- Fresh thyme (optional)
Preparation
- 1. Preheat broiler.
- 2. Sprinkle both sides of steak with thyme, salt, and pepper. Place steak on a broiler pan coated with cooking spray; arrange garlic cloves around steak. Broil steak and garlic 5 to 6 minutes on each side or until desired degree of doneness. Transfer steak to a cutting board; cover loosely with foil to keep warm.
- 3. Cut off bottom of each garlic clove. Squeeze out soft garlic into a food processor; process until smooth. Add broth; process until combined. Transfer garlic sauce to a microwave-safe dish. Microwave at HIGH 40 seconds.
- 4. Cut steak diagonally across grain into thin slices; spoon garlic sauce over steak. Garnish with fresh thyme, if desired.
