Yield: Makes 1 1/4 cups
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup water
- Bring sugar and water to a boil in a small saucepan over medium-high heat. Reduce heat to low, and cook, stirring often, 3 to 5 minutes or until sugar is dissolved. Let stand 30 minutes or until cool. Refrigerate up to 1 week.
