I didn't do this recipe justice, since I left out 2 of the 5 ingredients (husband is allergic to garlic and I don't like cilantro). So basically this was salted avocado with lemon juice. Can't get much simpler than that!
Simple Guacamole
There's no credible way to lighten guac since the main ingredient--avocado--is high in fat. But it's heart-healthy.

Ingredients
- 2 large ripe avocados, peeled
- 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
- 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt

- Place avocados in a medium bowl, and mash roughly with a fork. Add fresh lime juice, kosher salt, and minced garlic clove; mash to desired consistency. Stir in chopped fresh cilantro.
