Sicilian-style Strata

    Worthy of a Special Occasion

    I made this for a holiday breakfast and it was a real hit! I only used 1 layer of bread (on the bottom) and substituted jimmy dean sausage - 1.5 lbs - that was browned/crumbled for the meat. I served it with cinnamon-raisin toast and applesauce. Excellent choices! I will make this again and again.

    This was so easy to toss together. Not the cheapest dish, but if you have everything on hand it's great! I made if for dinner! Goes a long way and impressive in taste!

    This was delicious. I used Egg Beaters and it came out fluffy and full of flavor. The leftovers were just as good if not better. Wonderful dish!
