This was a wonderful recipe. It was easy to follow. I have never cooked shrimp before and it turned out perfect! Next time I use the recipe, I will either cut the amount of pasta in half or double the shrimp portion. My family really likes a lot of shrimp. I peeled and deveined the shrimp ahead of time and it was a super quick meal. I think I will use this as a quick supper instead of a special occasion type meal. It was on the table so quickly my daughter barely had time to set the table and make the salad. :)

This is absolutely wonderful ! ! ! It was so easy, especially when you devein the shrimp, chop the onion and garlic, grate the cheese and mince the parsley early in the day. I served this with a small green salad and "Cheesy Garlic Bread" from the November 2008 Southern Living. That recipe is also on this website. You will impress any company or spouse with this meal. Yum. Yum.

This was a terrific recipe. Very easy, just what I was hoping for in taste. Even my 6 year old picky eater loves it! I made it once for our family to test it, and then for family and company the next week, served with a salad and french bread. Everyone raved about it. PS I used a little more shrimp than called for.

Not a lot of flavor here, just calories!

I made this recipe and can't even believe how easy and flavorful it was. It is definitely going into my meal cycle. I added a lil extra garlic & onion seasoning :) I also used frozed pre-cooked shrimp which cut down on cook time.

Agree with Doug that it lacks flavor. Maybe add a splash or two of white wine to the lemon juice at the end.

I did make this version of shrimp scampi and it was nice however I prefer my recipe for Shrimp Scampi: # 12 oz of spaghetti or angel hair pasta # 3 Tablesp of olive oil # 3 Tablesp of butter # 4-5 cloves of garlic(minced) # 3 Tablesp of shallots (minced) # 3 Tablesp of green onions # 1/4 cup of fresh lemon juice # 1/2 cup of white cooking wine(vermouth) # 1 teaspoon of paprika # 1/2 coarse black pepper # 1 lb medium shrimp, peeled and deveined # 1 tsp salt # 1/4 cup lemon juice

lovely- I used shell on shrimp, made a "stock" from the discarded shells, and added it to the pasta water. excellent.
