Use as a sandwich filling or appetizer spread. Boost the flavor with 2 tablespoons chopped green onions or fresh herbs, if desired.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound peeled and cooked shrimp
  • 1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 3 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 garlic clove, pressed
  • 1/2 teaspoon hot sauce
  • 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper

Preparation

  1. Process shrimp in a food processor until coarsely ground. Add remaining ingredients, processing until smooth.
