I think this recipe MIGHT have been good if i would have not used the minced garlic or hot sauce. for us, the garlic taste was over powering and the hot sauce gave it a weird twang on top of the garlic. will NOT be making this again. very dissapointed since it got such good reviews! :\

Made this recipe this rainy weekend. Perfect! My husband really enjoyed it. Will be great for company.

Took my brand new SL October issue to my Mom's over the weekend. When I saw the recipe and that is was a lighter healthy version - we decided to make this dish. It was absolutely fabulous and very easy to make. My brother happened to be visiting also and said this recipe is definitely a keeper.

Wonderful recipe! Made it last night and the whole family raved about it and there were no leftovers. I added some grated lemon zest and the sauce was very buttery and lemony. Delicious!!

YUMMY! I thought it should be 5 star, but my husband voted for 4 star. Neither of us have any experience with grits, so I probably didn't cook it right; they were kinda runny, but tasted delicious. The shrimp, though, was killer! This was easy, fast and very good. Served with a simple salad. Good meal!

Delicious and easy. We used red hot for the hot sauce and it added just a hint of flavor without being hot. Will make again!

This was the most amazing dish! My family is made up of a lot of great cooks... REALLY GREAT cooks... and this one made everyone's 5 Star status! If you're looking for a beautiful and delicious dish that is sure to please the most discriminating guests, look no further. I sound like a paid reviewer and this is the first time I've written a review... I just couldn't let this one go without notice. It was wonderful!

This recipe was so easy to make! I do love to tweak recipes a bit.. First used stone ground grits (takes a bit longer to cook but well worth it) Second, pan fried 4 strips of lower sodium, center cut bacon - remove bacon & crumble. Then reserved 1/2 tablespoon of the bacon drippings and matched it with 1/2 tablespoon of olive oil. Sauteed the shrimp in the olive oil/bacon dripping (so 1 1/2 tsp of each) Finished the recipe as directed - garnished the dish with the 4 strips of bacon that I crumbled. Great recipe.. easy to do!

Very good, and only took 35 minutes start to finish (which included shelling the shrimp). I will definitely add this to our weeknight rotation. Have to admit, though... I added some extra parmesan cheese and about a 1/4 cup of my kids' whole milk to make the grits creamier. And a couple dashes of hot sauce. So a little extra fat... but not too much. Still very healthy!
