Yield: Makes 2 to 3 servings
- 1 pound fresh broccoli
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 2 teaspoons vinegar
- 2 teaspoons sesame seeds, toasted
- Cut broccoli into spears; arrange in a steamer basket over boiling water. Cover and steam 5 minutes or until crisp-tender. Place on serving platter.
- Stir together sugar and next 3 ingredients in a small saucepan over medium heat. Cook, stirring often, until sugar dissolves and mixture is thoroughly heated. Drizzle over broccoli, and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
