- 1 pound fresh asparagus
- 2 tablespoons peanut oil, divided
- 2 large shallots, minced
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
- 1/8 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
- 2 teaspoons soy sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon dark sesame oil
How to Make It
Snap off tough ends of asparagus. Cook half of asparagus in 1 tablespoon hot peanut oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat 3 to 4 minutes on each side.
Stir together shallot and next 4 ingredients. Sprinkle half of shallot mixture over asparagus in skillet; cook 1 to 2 minutes or until shallot is tender. Remove asparagus from skillet, and keep warm. Repeat procedure with remaining asparagus, peanut oil, and shallot mixture.
