Amazing!!! My husband asked me to make it when his parents come to visit.

While I am a big fan of Lidia Bastianich and I think her past CL recipes have been great, I think this recipe would have been better had I not followed the directions so closely. No part of the process was difficult, but it was time-consuming and (in my opinion) not entirely worth the effort. The sauce was incredible, but there simply wasn't enough to really make the dish lasagna-like, in my opinion. The lasagna noodles were easy to make and also tasty. One of my guests and I decided that these were more like "lasanchiladas" both in their assembly and their consistency. I guess because it was a light recipe, there wasn't enough nutritional wiggle room to put some cheese in the layers instead of just on top. Too bad. Tasty, but I think I'll keep the sauce recipe and stick to more traditional lasagna recipes.

This was my first time making pasta from scratch, and I had so much fun! Like the other reviewers noted, the recipe was easier to make than I expected. I wanted to make the recipe vegetarian, so I used temeph fakin' bacon instead of the real thing, and the result was delightful! I can't wait to make this recipe again.

My husband and I love this one! Needs more cheese. Added my cheese lasagna filling in each layer and turkey smoked sausage 1st time I made it. Added extra mozzarela in each layer, spinach, and turkey Italian sausage 2nd time. Both times were fantastic! Will definitely make again and again!

This recipe was outstanding and probably one of the best lasagnas I have ever had.Certainly appropriate for special occasions or great for dinner parties as it can be all prepped ahead. The fuss was all in the pasta sheets but since it ends up assemblied in a cassrole anyway they do not have to be perfect when rolling them out. I would suggest having the water boiling as you roll out the divided dough portions so you can boil them off right away. I got into trouble rolling out the pasta sheets and stacking them too close together and they ended up sticking to one another. I served this dish with a side salad and garlic bread for a wonderful meal. Lightly spicy and not overly cheesy this recipe will be my go to for making lasagna in the future.
