Hot beef spread for small rye bread squares

Ingredients

  • 1 pound(s) ground beef
  • 1 pound(s) sausage
  • 1 onion - large chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon(s) salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon(s) pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon(s) sage
  • 1 pound(s) Velveta cheese - cube
  • 1 package(s) small Rye bread squares

Preparation

  1. Brown ground beef, sausage, onion, salt, pepper and sage
  2. Add Velveta cheese in chunks
  3. Heat on low until melted. Stir constantly

  4. Spread 1 tablespoon of meat mixture on small party ryes
  5. Broil until a little crispy

  6. Can make ahead and freeze
  7. Thaw, broil and serve
