How to Make It
Preheat oven to 375°. Cook diced onion and next 2 ingredients in a large skillet over medium-high heat, stirring often, 8 to 10 minutes or until meat crumbles and is no longer pink. Drain. Stir in garlic and thyme; cook 1 minute. Stir in wine; cook 2 minutes or until liquid has almost completely evaporated.
Add cream cheese, and cook, stirring constantly, 2 minutes or until cream cheese is melted. Stir in spinach and salt, and cook, stirring constantly, 2 minutes or until spinach is wilted. Gently stir in beans. Pour mixture into a 2-qt. baking dish; sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
Bake at 375° for 18 to 20 minutes or until golden brown. Serve with corn chip scoops, bell pepper strips, and pretzel rods.
Great reviews for the most part but we thought it was lacking flavor and just okay. Made exactly as written and you wouldn’t even know the sausage was hot. A lot of reviews changed up the recipe and I can see why. I think cheddar cheese would add more flavor.
A great spin on a spinach dip. This was great, so great that I only got one little spoonful before it was gone. I didn't have hot sausage, just mild sage sausage, and it was still great. I had some hot sauce and hot peppers on the side for anyone wanting an extra heat kick. I would recommend that this dip be served warm and that it stays that way. The flavor and texture isn't as good luke warm or cold. This is a "hover over" one for sure!
I made this recipe for the New Year and my family loved it! It has a great flavor! I just made everything in an iron skillet; therefore, a one dish recipe. Also added chopped up hot peppers on top to give it a kick. Family requested this recipe again!
Delicious! Even my 8-year old daughter liked it. Great way to sneak in a few veggies while dipping too. I think it will be a hit this evening for our New Year's Eve party! Definitely one to cook again!
Fantastic dish! I made it on a whim Thanksgiving Day as I realized I didn't have anything for munching as guests arrived. Had to take it away from the toddlers and moved it into the living room so my brother-in-law didn't have to make so many trips into the kitchen (literally)!
This dip was fantastic. Everyone loved it. I only used 4 oz cream cheese and that was fine for me. Next time I would decrease the amount of sausage and increase the veggies, but that's just my preference. I recommend making this!
