Photo: Iain Bagwell; Styling: Heather Chadduck
Yield
Melt-in-your-mouth Salty-Sweet Bacon Panini goes over the top with the paring of salty bacon and sweet apple butter with melty Brie on top of raisin-walnut bread.

Ingredients

  • Brie
  • bacon
  • Raisin-walnut bread
  • Apple butter
  • Butter, softened

How to Make It

  1. Place Brie and bacon on raisin-walnut bread spread with apple butter. Spread outside of sandwiches with butter. Cook in a pre-heated panini press 2 to 3 minutes or until golden.

  2. Wine Suggestion: "For white, try a Chenin Blanc, such as Champalou Vouvray from the Loire Valley ($17) or a California version such as Ballentine Vineyards ($17). If you just have to have red, then try Beaujolais or California Pinot Noir." --Richard Robinson, Wine Director, The Wine Shop at Western Supermarket, Mountain Brook, Alabama
