Juicy summer tomatoes pair beautifully with fruity extravirgin olive oil in this Italian-style uncooked sauce that is delicious on pasta or grilled bread, chicken, or fish.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups chopped tomato
  • 1/4 cup minced fresh basil
  • 2 tablespoons extravirgin olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced

Preparation

Combine all ingredients; let stand 30 minutes.
