- 1/2 cup fresh sage leaves, loosely packed
- 1 large shallot
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1 teaspoon grated lemon rind
- 1/2 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
- 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
- Process sage and shallot in a food processor until chopped.
- Add butter and remaining ingredients; process until mixture is thoroughly blended, stopping occasionally to scrape down sides.
