1/2 cup fresh sage leaves, loosely packed
1 large shallot
1/2 cup butter, softened
1 teaspoon grated lemon rind
1/2 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
Process sage and shallot in a food processor until chopped.
Add butter and remaining ingredients; process until mixture is thoroughly blended, stopping occasionally to scrape down sides.
