Mayonnaise goes highbrow with saffron threads and lemon in this simple recipe.
1/2 teaspoon saffron threads
3/4 cup mayonnaise
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
How to Make It
In a small frying pan over medium-low heat, toast saffron just until fragrant, stirring occasionally, about 2 minutes. Pour into a small bowl, then crumble. Stir in remaining ingredients. Let stand 15 minutes, then stir.
