Rum Sauce

  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup whipping cream
  • 2 tablespoons rum


  1. Melt butter in top of a double boiler over boiling water. Stir in sugar and cream; cook over boiling water, stirring frequently, 30 minutes or until thickened. Cool slightly; stir in rum. Serve warm.
