Rum Sauce

Yield Makes 1 1/4 cup

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/3 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup whipping cream
  • 2 tablespoons rum
  • 1/4 teaspoon orange zest
  • Pinch of cloves

How to Make It

  1. Melt butter and brown sugar in a heavy saucepan over low heat, stirring until smooth. Stir in remaining ingredients. Cook, stirring constantly, 10 minutes or until thickened.
