Red Wine Vinaigrette
Homemade salad dressings, like this simple red wine vinaigrette recipe, are easy to prepare and have none of the preservatives and fillers that many storebought varieties contain. Plus, they taste delicious and can be customized to complement whatever dish you're serving.

Ingredients
- 1/4 cup red wine vinegar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
- 1/3 cup olive oil
Preparation
- 1. Whisk together first 3 ingredients in a small bowl. Add oil in a slow, steady stream, whisking constantly until smooth.
- 2. Use immediately, or store in an airtight container in refrigerator up to 1 week. If chilled, let stand at room temperature 15 minutes, and whisk before serving.
