What better way to use gifted peper jelly than to spice up your cocktails? This beverage is sweet and sour with a sublte hotness. Serve a drink that is fun, different, and just plain smart at your next fall or holiday get-together.

How to Make It

Step 1

Combine red pepper jelly and water in a small saucepan over medium. Cook, stirring occasionally, until jelly is dissolved and mixture is smooth. Remove from heat, and cool to room temperature, about 30 minutes.

Step 2

Combine pepper jelly syrup, bourbon, lemon juice, and bitters in a large pitcher filled with ice; stir until blended. Add ginger ale, and stir to blend. Serve immediately in glasses filled with ice; garnish with lemon slices.
