Red Cabbage-Carrot Coleslaw

1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/4 cup cider vinegar
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1/2 teaspoon sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons coarse ground pepper
4 cups shredded red cabbage
4 cups shredded carrots
1 1/2 cups currants
1/4 cup minced fresh chives
1/4 cup minced fresh dill


Stir together first 5 ingredients in a large bowl. Add cabbage and remaining ingredients; toss well. Cover and chill 3 hours.
