Ingredients
- 1 Pound Dried red beans
- 1 Small onion, chopped
- 1/2 Pound Hot Smoked sausage, sliced
- 3 Garlic cloves, chopped
- Ham bone or ham hocks
- red bean seasoning mix
- 7 cup(s) Cups water
Preparation
- Step One
- Rinse beans.
- Step Two
- In the slow cooker place all ingredients.
- Step Three
- Cook on low for 7 hours or until the beans are tender.
- Step Four
- If you want less juice just mash the beans while it cooks.
- Step Five
- Serve over cooked rice.
