Raisin Stuffing

Yield 10 cups (enough for a 17-pound turkey)

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 (15-ounce) package raisins
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon butter or margarine
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 teaspoon ground thyme
  • 5 1/2 cups cracker crumbs
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper

How to Make It

  1. Combine first 6 ingredients in a Dutch oven; cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until beef is browned and onion is tender. Add remaining ingredients; stir well.
