I give this recipe a 5 star rating for ease of prep. with great flavor and eye appeal. A great use for the frozen shrimp I usually have in my freezer. I saute chopped celery with the onion before adding the other ingredients. I also add some fresh thyme along with the parsley at the end. A great soup. I serve with a mixed green salad, warm bread and a sauvignon blanc to make a light, quick meal. A keeper!

This really was fantastic, even if it does feel like a cheat to use premade ingredients. However, it did have too much heat for my 5 year old. Therefore, 4 stars instead of 5.

This was a great recipe! I cooked it and it was SO easy...my kids loved it! I can't wait to cook it again for my husband. I added canned potatoes to it for extra chunks and it was fabulous! thanks!

I cooked this for a luncheon at work and everyone RAVED over it! I did add the can of corn as suggested and I think I might add some pimientos next time just for a hint of color. Very yummy and quick. Nobody will ever believe how simple it is!

Delicious ! I was so impressed with this soup ! I also used cream of shrimp soup, celery with the onion and added a can of corn for more oomph to the chowder. I'll try this again and again.

We made this tonight for the first time, and really loved it! Per the comments, we added a small can of corn and a small can of sliced potatoes. We also used skim milk, and added celery to the onions. We did a half recipe and had plenty for the two of us, and a big serving for lunch tomorrow. This will go into our regular rotation for sure.

So easy and good flavor. I used frozen chopped onions& a bag of Trader Joes seafood mix (shrimp, calamari, scallops) and it was perfect. Will make again!

Yummy! Everything the reviews said is true. Corn really makes it...so does the old bay!

I made this and WOW so good! I was scared it would be spicy, so I added 1/2 the amount of red pepper and used paprika instead. Came out AMAZING! Such a great soup! I think I will just add some more potatoes next time cause I love potatoes :) Thank you!! This recipe is a KEEPER!

I added a can of corn drained, an additional can of diced potatoes , and doubled the cheese ...this is a keeper ....want to "heat" it up for the adults sometime with Tony Catchen's creole seasoning ....

I made this and changed it up just a little bit based on what I had here at home. I used 3/4 cup frozen large salad shrimp and about 3/4 cup frozen golden corn. I also used 3 cups milk and added 1/2 cup half and half to thicken it a bit. At the end I stirred in some chopped parsley and chopped bacon. I would definitely make this again. My husband basically licked the bowl clean :) Next time I would consider scaling back the milk a little to make it creamier and also might add some diced potatoes. Add the bacon, you won't be sorry!

I was amazed at how good this really was using canned soup! I added diced celery with the onion, cut back on the milk to 3 cups, sprinkled with Old Bay...and because I didn't have plain Monteray Jack cheese...I omitted the cayenne and used Monteray Pepper Jack instead. This is seriously good soup!
