Quick Party Salsa

Canned tomatoes shorten chopping time and allow you to enjoy great flavor when juicy, fresh tomatoes aren't in season.


Makes 4 cups

1 (28-ounce) can diced tomatoes with roasted garlic
1 small red onion, chopped
1 large jalapeño pepper, seeded and chopped
1 cup chopped fresh cilantro
2 tablespoons lemon juice
2 tablespoons lime juice
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon chili powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons sugar (optional)
Tortilla chips


Combine first 9 ingredients and, if desired, sugar in a large bowl. Cover and chill until ready to serve. Serve with tortilla chips.
