Talk about fast food! You can prepare this side salad in less than 5 minutes. Then chill it while you make the rest of your meal. Fennel seeds add a distinctive licorice flavor to an otherwise basic slaw. The seeds may be omitted, if desired.
1 (16-ounce) package cabbage-and-carrot coleslaw
1/3 cup light mayonnaise
3 tablespoons red wine vinegar
1 teaspoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon fennel seeds
How to Make It
Place coleslaw in a serving bowl. Combine mayonnaise and next 3 ingredients in a small bowl, stirring well with a whisk. Spoon dressing over coleslaw, and toss well. Sprinkle with fennel seeds. Cover and chill at least 1 hour.
