- 1/2 cup butter or margarine
- 1/2 cup evaporated milk
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 (6-ounce) package semisweet chocolate morsels
- About 3 cups sifted powdered sugar
How to Make It
Combine butter, milk, and salt in a heavy saucepan; cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until butter is melted. Remove from heat. Add chocolate morsels, and beat until smooth; cool.
Gradually add sugar, beating until thick enough to spread. If necessary, add additional sugar to obtain spreading consistency.
