    These instructions don't make sense. After mashing the crackers with the spices, it should say to blend the ice cream with the mixture before putting it into cups. Better yet, I'd refreeze the ice cream till firmer before serving.

    This is an extremely simple recipe and delicious. I doubled this recipe, and used a carton of vanilla frozen yogurt (1 3/4 quarts total (about 7 cups.) I topped with a dollop of whipping cream and freshly grated nutmeg and served this in lieu of pumpkin pie this year. It was fabulous and everyone raved about it! It was comparable to a Dairy Queen Pumpkin Pie Blizzard. I used the masher to mix in the ingredients, leaving some small chunks of vanilla ice cream. I also froze the mixture over night knowing that mashing frozen yogurt would leave me with DQ blizzard like consistency. I would agree with the previous reviewer that the instructions could be clearer.
