Beat cream cheese and sugar at medium speed with an electric mixer until smooth. Add pie filling, 1 teaspoon cinnamon, and ginger, beating well. Cover and chill 8 hours. Serve with gingersnaps and apple or pear slices. Garnish, if desired.
I made this after having it at a party, but I did NOT put any powdered sugar in. It just doesn't need it if you are using the pumpkin pie "filling" and dipping with cookies. If you are using plain pumpkin, add the sugar. Also, I added cloves.
