Pumpkin Bread

Ingredients

  • 1 cup(s) sugar
  • 1 canned pumpkin
  • 1/3 cup(s) vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon(s) vanilla
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 1/2 cup(s) flour
  • 1/2 cup(s) walnuts or pecans coarsely chopped
  • 2 teaspoon(s) baking powder
  • 1/2 tablespoon(s) ground cinamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon(s) salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon(s) ground cloves

Preparation

Heat oven to 350ยบ Greaswe bottom only of loaf pan, 9 1/2 X 4 1/2 X 2 1/2, or 9 X 5 X 2 inches. Mix sugar, pimpking oil, vanilla and eggs in large bowl. Stir in remaining ingredients. Pour into pan

Bake 50 to 60 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cook 1 minutes. Loosen sides of loaf pan, remove from pan. Cool completely on wire rack before slicing. Store tightly wrpped in refirgerator up to 1 week. 1 loaf (24 slices)
